With so many different character creation options, players of Monster Hunter Stories 2 may want to rework their appearance later on in the game.
Feeling indecisive about a character in Monster Hunter Stories 2? Constantly wishing to tweak the player character or always restarting a playthrough over and over again? Luckily for players who feel this way, there is an option to change the player character’s appearance at any time.
With the large number of customization that players have within this game, it’s no surprise that players may get bored or question their previous aesthetic choices. Players get the choice to change face shape, facial features, hairstyle, hair color, eye color, and makeup. They won’t receive the option to change their character’s gender after starting out, so that will require the player to restart.
Where To Go To Change Character Appearances In Monster Hunter Stories 2
In order to change their character’s appearance, players will need to return to their homes. Each of the villages that players visit will have a house for them to stay in. Players do not need to return to the original Mahana Village to do this. Instead, each of the houses will have a chest. Select the chest to be able to change the character’s appearance. However, this only allows the player to access their Appearance menu and change their hairstyle, color, and makeup.
While it doesn’t offer players the option to change everything that they could when they originally created the character, this will allow players to try out new hairstyles which can be purchased from Melynyx Inc. Though trying out these hairstyles can also be done by interacting with NPCs in the town. This is also done via the Appearance menu within the options. Players will also get the option in the Appearance menu to change the colors of their armor without any extra purchases.
If just changing the minor aspects of the character isn’t enough, there is another option, though it comes with a price. For more major changes to a character without restarting a playthrough, players can purchase the Character Edit Tickets. These are a form of DLC that come in packs of one, two, or three. The cheapest of which costs $4.50 USD. If a player is particularly indecisive, they may want to consider grabbing a full pack of three. Otherwise, as long as a player is still fairly early in their gameplay, they may want to simply consider restarting and making a fully-fledged new character.
