One of the more prominent currencies in the expansion is Anima. How To Farm Anima In World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands
Before players go out in search of Anima, they will want to know how to convert it to a usable currency. Each Anima item rarity level translates to an amount of spendable Anima. Uncommon Anima items reward 5 Anima, Rare Anima items reward 35, and Epic Anima items reward 250. Players will very rarely come across Epic Anima items and will have better luck finding Uncommon and Rare varieties.
To convert Anima, players will need to visit their Covenant’s Sanctum Upgrade NPC. There is an interaction option that allows the player to deposit all Anima items into their Anima Reserves. Players will need to do this to earn the weekly 1000 Anima needed to increase their Renown. Players should convert their Anima items frequently, as they will take up inventory space that can be better allocated to new loot.
There are many ways to farm Anima in Shadowlands. These include:
- Completing World quests
- Opening marked and unmarked chests
- Killing rare monsters
- Clearing dungeons
- Completing weekly Covenant quests
- Killing mobs
- Killing opponents in PvP
Because so many activities will drop or reward Anima items, farming it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.
What To Spend Anima On In World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands
Anima can be used to make cosmetic and quality-of-life upgrades to the Sanctum. This location will be the player character’s home base once they align themselves with a Covenant, and it is worth investing to improve. While players can prioritize any Sanctum upgrades they want, some are better than others and should be obtained first.
Players should note that even if they have enough Anima, they may need to wait to upgrade their Sanctum. This is because Sanctum upgrades also require Redeemed Souls, which are capped weekly. For this reason, prioritizing will be key.
Above all, players should spend their first Anima haul on the Adventure Table. Here, they can send their Covenant Soulbind NPCs on smaller missions to gather resources, including more Anima and valuables like mounts.
The second upgrade players should prioritize is the transportation network. Each Covenant gets a special network that allows them to fast-travel around the realm that Covenant controls. This makes it easy to complete quests in this home realm.
From there, players have more leeway to spend Anima on whatever they want. The Anima Conductor is a good investment, as it opens opportunities for new fights, creates new chests, and offers new pets, mounts toys, and cosmetics in the Covenant’s home realm. Another good option are the Covenant’s special event mini-game, which is exclusive to the Covenant the player chooses. These also reward Covenant-specific cosmetics.
