Every NPC Location in Fortnite (Season 5)

Every NPC Location in Fortnite (Season 5)

In Fortnite Season 5, players can find 40 NPCs around the map. Players will want to find each character to purchase weapons and receive quests.

The new season of Fortnite includes a few big changes to the game’s traditional battle royale format. The map has undergone a change, with new POIs for players to explore, a new jungle and desert biome in the interior of the map, and the inclusion of an in-game currency, which players can earn by completing new quests and bounty contracts. Players can now accept quests from NPC bounty hunters around the map, including Mancake and Lexa (who also feature as Battle Pass skins). These quests can range from bounty hunting an opponent player to collecting materials or performing various other simple tasks. Once a player completes a quest, they can earn Gold Bars, which they can use at any of the NPCs to purchase guns or weapon upgrades, purchase other gear, fight the NPC and take their gear, or even hire that NPC as a bodyguard during a match.

There are so far 40 new NPCs at various locations around the island for players to find and interact with. When they get close to one, players will see a speech bubble icon with an ellipsis on their minimap, but these characters are otherwise difficult to find. It’s worth finding every NPC on the map, as each character has different weapons to sell and quests to give. Some characters have more than one spawn location as well, making it even tougher to locate these without a bit of luck. Here’s where to find all 40 NPC characters on the island in Fortnite Season 5.

As players find new NPCs, they will be added to the player’s Collections. These are a separate tab from Fish that players can catch. The map below, created by meetlootllama on Twitter, shows the approximate spawn location for every NPC in the game so far. Players should note that some characters have multiple spawn locations, so if the character is not where they are expected to be on the map, that may indicate they have spawned at another spot.

Players can find every NPC in the following locations on the map:

  • Lexa: At Hunter’s Haven in a building between the H and the A in “Haven” on the map label.
  • Reese: At Dirty Docks in the easternmost building on the coast.
  • Menace: In the middle of Colossal Colosseum.
  • Mancake: In the building slightly southeast of Zero Point in the desert.
  • Mave: At Shipwreck Cove in one of the two houses the southeast region of the map.
  • Kondor: At Misty Meadows, in the building between the D and O on the map label.
  • The Mandalorian: By the Razor Crest, which can be found east of Zero Point and southeast of Colossal Colosseum, on the easternmost edge of the desert.
  • The Reaper: On the western coast of the map, in a building slightly south and west from Sweaty Sands.
  • Brutus: At Dirty Docks, at the southernmost point of the POI that juts slightly into the water.
  • DeadFire: At the Sheriff’s Office, southwest of Colossal Colosseum and northeast of Zero Point in the desert.

  • Bigfoot: Like the real Bigfoot, difficult to spot, but often found in trees on the western side of Weeping Woods or in the forest/jungle area west of Sweaty Sands.
  • Rukus: In Hydro 16 on the eastern corner of Slurpy Swamp.
  • Fishstick: On the north side of Craggy Cliffs.

Many of these characters have alternate spawn locations that are not listed because they have yet to be discovered. The locations above reflect the most common places fans are finding these NPCs.

Players will likely want to try and fight The Mandalorian and Rukus, as these are both boss-level players who drop excellent gear. The Mandalorian in particular drops a powerful Mythic weapon players can use to gain an advantage in a match. Players should also keep exploring the map, as there is a chance for new spawn locations or new NPCs to join the hunt in Season 5.

Fortnite is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Android devices.
