Niantic recently increased the total box storage available in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can increase their total inventory space. Currently, Pokemon Go is celebrating its 5th anniversary and is providing players with a ton of smaller bonuses to celebrate. For starters, players are now able to capture a Shiny Darumaka for the first time. Not only that, but the anniversary is hosting its own Collection Challenge where players will need to find every starter Pokemon and the special event Balloon Pikachu before the event is over. The latest update has increased the box space to 4,500 spaces. When it comes to bag space between PokeBalls, healing items, and evolutionary items all sharing this space, it quickly can fill up. Players won’t be able to interact with PokeStops or Gyms until they either toss something from their inventory or use the items. It’s hard to imagine what players need all that space for but the most hardcore Pokemon Go players will put it to good use. Depending on what the PokeStop and Gym situation is looking like where the player lives will determine if they believe they should invest the money or not. For example, living in a densely populated city will make it much easier to find Gyms to defend or defeat. This upgrade is permanent and is great for those players who log in every day and capture a few Pokemon.

From experience, Bag Space is the one that causes the most trouble. While clearing out Pokemon Storage space can take a bit longer, players will run into items way more than Pokemon.
